India slips in Global Gender Gap Index 2025

India has dropped to 131st out of 148 countries in the Global Gender Gap Index 2025, despite some gains in education and health.

The report highlights that political representation and economic participation remain the widest gaps. India continues to rank among the lowest in the region.
