The report discusses the connection between climate change and extreme inequality. The wealthiest people, corporations, and countries are responsible for the largest share of carbon emissions, while the poorest and most marginalized groups—such as women, Indigenous peoples, and young people—are the most affected by climate breakdown.

The report highlights that these two crises—climate change and inequality—are deeply linked and cannot be solved separately. It argues that the richest individuals, who have the most power and influence, are key contributors to both climate damage and growing inequality. At the same time, marginalized communities continue to bear the greatest burden of the crisis, with little ability to protect themselves.

To overcome these challenges, the report calls for radical action to address both climate change and inequality together. This includes holding the richest nations, corporations, and individuals accountable for their role in the crisis. The report also stresses that reducing inequality is essential to solving climate change and poverty.

Achieving a fairer, more equal world is crucial for tackling the climate crisis and ensuring a sustainable future for all.
