Impact of #airpollution is clearly visible on tier-II & non-metro cities. 6700 people died in Lucknow in 2020 alone due to bad air quality, claims a new study by @GreenpeaceSEA. The study has also estimated an economic loss of Rs. 8000 cr for the capital city of #UttarPradesh.
The study has once again reaffirmed that the problem of #AirPollution is not only limited to metro cities.
The study has further estimated deaths and financial loss for the following cities:
Delhi – 54000 / Rs. 58,895 cr
Mumbai – 25,000 / Rs. 26,912 cr
Bengaluru – 12,000 / Rs. 12,365 cr
Chennai – 11,000 / Rs. 10,910 cr
Hyderabad – 11,000 / Rs. 11,637 cr
